After Ja Morant suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain that will leave him sidelined for at least four weeks, Scoot Henderson will have an opportunity to help fill the void and possibly resurrect his career in Portland.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Ja Morant will miss at least a month with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain. Kyle Mucerino writes that Morant's extended absence creates a significant opportunity for fourth-year guard Scoot Henderson to earn increased playing time and establish his role in Portland's crowded backcourt.
Henderson has struggled early this season, averaging 7.5 points on 34% shooting across 19 minutes per game after Portland declined to extend his rookie contract. The Trail Blazers sit at 3-1, receiving key contributions from Deni Avdija, Damian Lillard, and Jrue Holiday as Henderson prepares for expanded minutes.
