The Anaheim Ducks have placed veteran defenseman Nick Jensen on waivers.

The Anaheim Ducks have placed 36-year-old veteran defenseman Nick Jensen on waivers, according to a report by Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. Jensen signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract with Anaheim on the opening day of free agency in July to provide veteran stability on the blue line.
Jensen has struggled to secure regular playing time this season, appearing in only three of the Ducks' first 13 games while being frequently scratched. NHL clubs have until 1 PM CT on Sunday to submit a waiver claim, and Jensen could be assigned to AHL San Diego if he clears.
