There was Saturday disappointment at the top and bottom of the Premier League table for Manchester City and Sunderland.

Samuel Bannister argues that Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris could be on borrowed time after a 3-1 defeat to Coventry City. The loss left Sunderland at the bottom of the Premier League table on five points following a seven-game winless run. Goals from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Jack Rudoni secured victory for Coventry, while Enzo Le Fee netted a late penalty for Sunderland before Omar Alderete was sent off.
Elsewhere, Brighton secured a 1-0 upset against Enzo Maresca's Manchester City courtesy of an early goal from Yasin Ayari. In other Premier League action, Brentford defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0, Bournemouth overcame Leeds United 2-0, and Ipswich Town drew 2-2 with Hull City after Julio Enciso scored a late equalizer.
