Detroit Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff praised big man Paul Reed, calling him the hardest-working player he has ever coached. Reed has taken on an expanded role and helped lead the Pistons to a 5-1 record, placing them atop the Eastern Conference early in the season.
Reed has stepped up due to injuries to starter Jalen Duren and the departure of Isaiah Stewart. Through the first six games, Reed is averaging career highs with 13.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 26.8 minutes per contest.
