The Colorado Avalanche have recalled forward Gavin Brindley from their AHL affiliate, the Colorado Eagles. The move comes as Colorado prepares to face the Calgary Flames without Logan O'Connor, who is out after attending his father's funeral. Head coach Jared Bednar confirmed that O'Connor would not play in Saturday's game.
Brindley earned the recall following a strong stretch in the AHL, tallying nine points in eight games throughout October. The 34th overall pick in 2023 previously recorded one assist in four NHL games earlier this season and has totaled 14 points across 61 career NHL appearances.
