The LA Galaxy kept their postseason hopes alive with a dominant 4-1 victory over Austin on Saturday at Dignity Health Sports Park. João Klauss opened the scoring in the 10th minute, followed by a first-half goal from Hirving Lozano in his return from injury. Robert Taylor and Sergi Roberto each scored in the second half to secure the crucial win for the hosts.
The result moved the LA Galaxy within three points of sixth-place LAFC in a contested Western Conference playoff race. Austin managed a single response via Ervin Torres in the 54th minute, but Roberto later added his first MLS goal to preserve LA's home unbeaten streak dating back to July 22.
