Portland Trail Blazers guard Ja Morant suffered a left hamstring injury on Thursday and will be reevaluated in four weeks. According to Bill Oram of The Oregonian, Morant does not require surgery and may return by late November, but the injury disrupts a strong start following his offseason trade from Memphis.
With Morant sidelined, Scoot Henderson entered the starting lineup on Saturday against Utah, scoring 14 points in 31 minutes. Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports that coach Micah Nori kept Jrue Holiday on the second unit to manage veteran minutes, while Vit Krejci logged a season-high 24 minutes.
