Just a handful of games into his sophomore season, San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper has a chance to do something that Cooper Flagg won't.

Cal Durrett of Air Alamo argues that San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper has an opportunity to achieve an NBA championship this season, a feat Cooper Flagg cannot match with the Dallas Mavericks. While Flagg was drafted first overall in 2025, Durrett notes that Harper plays for a stronger contender and is now seeing increased playing time as a starter.
Durrett highlights that Harper already averaged 18 points and 6.4 rebounds per game off the bench against the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals. The writer believes that while Flagg could become the face of the league, Harper's role on the Spurs gives him a realistic path to winning a title much sooner.
