The Baltimore Orioles continued adjusting their 40-man roster by declining a $20 million option for 2027 on outfielder Luis Robert Jr., opting instead to pay a $2 million buyout. Right-handed pitcher Albert Suárez and shortstop José Barrero cleared waivers and chose to decline outright assignments to Triple-A Norfolk.
Following these departures and other outright assignments, the Orioles' 40-man roster stands at 33 players. The organization faces upcoming deadlines to reinstate multiple injured players, decide on a $7.5 million club option for Ryan Mountcastle, and determine whether to extend a qualifying offer to left-hander Trevor Rogers.
