Matt Rempe has been on the ice just once since Sept. 29 and not at all after Oct. 13 — getting less than four minutes of ice time in that game.

New York Rangers forward Matt Rempe expressed frustration over his lack of playing time after appearing in only two of the team's first 14 games this season. Speaking after practice on Saturday in Tarrytown, the 24-fourth-liner noted that the situation is out of his control, but he is focusing on working hard in practice to stay ready when an opportunity arises.
Rempe cannot be sent down to the AHL without clearing waivers, creating a roster challenge for the Rangers. Meanwhile, head coach Mike Sullivan provided injury updates, noting goaltender Joonas Korpisalo took part in his first full practice following a foot infection, while defensemen Sean Durzi and Braden Schneider were sidelined as day-to-day.
