Sabadell player Quadri Liameed was rushed to the hospital after being knocked unconscious by a severe kick to the head during a Spanish second-division match. The incident occurred on the stroke of halftime when Albacete's Jose Corpas attempted a volley on the edge of the box and struck Liameed as he won an aerial duel. Medical staff rushed onto the pitch, an ambulance arrived, and Corpas received a red card for the reckless challenge.
Sabadell confirmed on Sunday that Liameed was discharged from the hospital after all medical tests returned positive results, allowing him to return home. Despite playing with ten men following the dismissal, Albacete managed to hold on to their 2-0 halftime lead to secure all three points.
