MANCHESTER UNITED chiefs have a plan, according to reports. You might not believe they have a Scooby-Doo given the never-ending slide the club are on thanks to a catalogue of botched decisions, but it seems they have a plan in…

Manchester United chiefs reportedly decided prior to their 2-0 defeat against Chelsea to give manager Michael Carrick until the international break to save his job. Following a previous 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth, club executives met and privately agreed that Carrick would remain in charge for upcoming fixtures against Roma and Aston Villa, in part because a replacement had not yet been settled upon.
The 2-0 loss at Stamford Bridge extended United's winless streak to nine matches across all competitions, leaving them 17th in the Premier League. Carrick stated after the match that he expects to remain in charge for the midweek European match against Roma.
