Manchester City midfielder Elliot Anderson revealed manager Enzo Maresca emphasized unity following a 1-0 home defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion. Maresca reiterated that the squad wins and loses together following their second consecutive Premier League defeat, which came shortly after a 2-1 loss against Aston Villa.
Brighton earned the victory at the Etihad Stadium courtesy of an early goal from Yasin Ayari. Maresca voiced frustration after the match regarding defensive mistakes and silly goals, as Fabian Hurzeler's side avenged their midweek penalty shootout exit in the Carabao Cup.
