Trent Alexander-Arnold is currently third-choice right-back at Real Madrid - where does his future lie?

Trent Alexander-Arnold has struggled for regular playing time at Real Madrid this season, reportedly becoming third-choice right-back under manager Jose Mourinho. Mourinho has favored midfielder Fede Valverde and summer signing Denzel Dumfries at the position, restricting the 28-year-old England international to just four starts across 13 matches.
Mourinho addressed January transfer speculation by stating that tactical team balance comes first, while praising Alexander-Arnold's versatility. Meanwhile, former teammate Jamie Carragher suggested on The Overlap that Alexander-Arnold should return to Liverpool, arguing his low standing in the squad signals Madrid want him to move on.
