Piers Morgan has criticized Jamie Carragher on social media, telling him to "grow a pair" following the pundit's apology to Aston Villa. Carragher had previously apologized to the club, its owners, and supporters after Aston Villa threatened legal action over controversial comments he made about manager Unai Emery and Manchester United.
During an appearance on the Stick to Football podcast, Carragher had argued Emery could be tempted by Manchester United and told Villa fans to "shut the **** up." Villa chairman Nassef Sawiris condemned the remarks as unacceptable, leading Carragher to admit on X that his language was clumsy and wrong.
