The Boston Bruins are off to a good start to the 2026-27 season, and there have been some players who have been good and some who haven't.

Scott Roche of Causeway Crowd evaluated the Boston Bruins' 10-4-1 start to the 2026-27 season under head coach Marco Sturm, identifying key individual winners and losers from October. The Bruins finished the opening month atop the Atlantic Division following a 5-4 overtime victory against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Roche named goaltender Jeremy Swayman, rookie forward James Hagens, the fourth-line unit, and newly extended forward Marat Khusnutdinov as the month's winners. Conversely, Roche identified Morgan Geekie, contract-year forward Pavel Zacha, and defenseman Nikita Zadorov as the primary losers due to inconsistent play and benchings.
