The Canes' defenseman will play in his 800th game with the Canes, with his team looking to finish a sweep of the Jets and extend the Jets' losing streak.

Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin is scheduled to play his 800th NHL game on Sunday afternoon against the Winnipeg Jets. The milestone makes Slavin the fifth player in franchise history to reach 800 games, joining Ron Francis, Glen Wesley, Eric Staal, and Jordan Staal as Carolina aims to finish a season sweep against Winnipeg.
The Hurricanes enter November having won three consecutive games and 11 of their last 13, including a previous 3-2 victory over Winnipeg on October 17. In contrast, the Jets have dropped eight straight contests, though they recently ended their standoff with goaltender Connor Hellebuyck by trading him to the New Jersey Devils.
