If the Los Angeles Dodgers really want to trade for Cincinnati Reds superstar Elly De La Cruz, it's going to take a haul.

Drew Koch of Blog Red Machine argues that the Cincinnati Reds should consider trading shortstop Elly De La Cruz to the Los Angeles Dodgers this offseason. Koch proposes that Cincinnati demand a prospect package consisting of Eduardo Quintero, Mike Sirota, Davalan, and pitcher Christian Zazueta rather than asking for top prospect Josue De Paula.
The proposal follows comments from former MLB general manager Jim Bowden indicating the Reds may consider trading De La Cruz after previously declining an offer from the Boston Red Sox. De La Cruz previously declined a long-term contract extension with Cincinnati and is scheduled to reach free agency after 2029.
