A key member of Atlanta’s front office earlier this decade returns to the organization.

Former Houston Astros general manager Dana Brown is reportedly returning to the Atlanta Braves front office. According to reports, including one from Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Brown will serve as a senior advisor with a focus on amateur scouting, working alongside Braves president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos.
Brown and the Astros mutually agreed to part ways during the 2026 season after Houston finished with an 81-81 record and suffered a quick postseason exit. The Astros subsequently hired former St. Louis Cardinals assistant general manager Randy Flores to replace Brown as their general manager.
