OKC Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is no stranger to criticism, but he might actually be proving his adversaries right this season.

Thunderous Intentions writer Zane Gelphman argues that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's early-season struggles are giving fuel to critics who label him a "free-throw merchant." Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging just 4.7 free throw attempts per game through a 4-2 start, his lowest mark since his rookie campaign.
Gelphman notes that the guard's statistical drop coincides with a depleted Oklahoma City roster missing Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, and Cason Williams to long-term injuries. While the writer expects the former MVP to potentially bounce back, he contends that adjustments are necessary.
