The Washington Wizards announced on Sunday that they have exercised the team contract options for five recent first-round selections. The franchise picked up fourth-year options for 2024 draft picks Alex Sarr, Bub Carrington, and Kyshawn George, alongside third-year options for 2025 draft picks Tre Johnson and Will Riley.
With these decisions, Washington's 2024 draft class is under contract through the 2027-28 season, with Sarr earning $15.6 million, Carrington $7.3 million, and George $5.4 million before becoming eligible for rookie extensions on July 1. Meanwhile, Johnson is set to earn $9.06 million next season, and Riley will make $3.86 million.
