All this losing is frustrating to watch, but the Utah Jazz's defense has faced one of the toughest schedules in the NBA. Once they face easier competition, we'll see just how telling this bad start is.

Matt John of The J-Notes argues that the Utah Jazz's disappointing 1-5 start can largely be attributed to facing one of the NBA's most difficult schedules. Despite suffering four consecutive defeats, including a recent home blowout against the Portland Trail Blazers, John contends that true judgment on the team should be reserved until their competition eases.
According to ESPN's Strength of Schedule metrics, Utah has played the third-toughest slate in the league. Compounding their early struggles, prized acquisition Jaren Jackson Jr. remains sidelined with an injury until at least December as the Jazz prepare for an upcoming four-game road trip.
