Lamine Yamal congratulated teammate Brian Farinas after the 20-year-old made his senior Barcelona debut in a 6-1 victory against Alaves at Camp Nou. Farinas started at right-back after defensive injuries created an opportunity for his first senior appearance. Following the match, Yamal replied to Farinas's celebratory social media post, writing, "You deserve it lil bro."
Manager Hansi Flick also commended Farinas, praising his focus and professionalism in training. The defender's debut came amid defensive absences for Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen, Xavi Espart, and Jules Kounde, potentially opening more minutes for Farinas in upcoming games against Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid.
