The former two-time undisputed heavyweight champion looks set to move back down to cruiserweight next year and already has his eyes set on one man…

Oleksandr Usyk has announced his decision to move back down to the cruiserweight division after cleaning out the heavyweight division. The 39-year-old Ukrainian revealed he is currently cutting weight at around 212 pounds and is targeting a showdown with unified champion David Benavidez.
According to Usyk's team director Sergey Lapin, the plan for 2027 involves Usyk fighting for a vacant cruiserweight world title before facing Benavidez for the undisputed crown. The potential run is expected to serve as the final chapter of Usyk's professional boxing career.
