Former India batter Cheteshwar Pujara believes Virat Kohli has a better chance than Rohit Sharma of scoring a century in the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.
Former India batter Cheteshwar Pujara believes Virat Kohli is more likely than Rohit Sharma to score an ODI century against New Zealand. Speaking to JioStar, Pujara stated that Kohli's role batting at number three affords him more time to anchor the innings and build toward a hundred. By contrast, Rohit's aggressive duties during the powerplay as an opener make centuries more challenging.
Pujara also forecasted a competitive five-match series between India and New Zealand, predicting a 2-2 result with one match potentially washed out. He highlighted that New Zealand could gain an advantage because India plans to field different squad combinations across the first three games and the final two matches.
