Notes from around the NHL including the Sabres and Maple Leafs sending down a defenseman, another fine for Nikita Zadorov, and more.

Several NHL teams announced roster moves and disciplinary actions across the league. The Buffalo Sabres returned defenseman Dennis Gilbert to AHL Rochester after he posted two points in five appearances. Meanwhile, the NHL Department of Player Safety issued a $5,000 fine to Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov for a roughing incident against Chicago, marking his fourth fine in two-and-a-half years.
In other roster transactions, the Toronto Maple Leafs assigned defenseman Cole McWard back to the AHL's Toronto Marlies following Chris Tanev's return. Elsewhere, the Utah Mammoth recalled winger Ben McCartney from AHL Tucson, though he did not play in the game against Philadelphia.
