Ally McCoist believes Olwethu Makhanya should stay at Rangers, despite his impressive start attracting interest from elsewhere.
Rangers legend Ally McCoist has publicly urged defender Olwethu Makhanya to remain at Ibrox rather than rush into a transfer. The 22-year-old South African defender joined Rangers in a £3 million permanent deal from Philadelphia Union and has impressed under manager Derek McInnes.
Speaking to talkSPORT Bet, McCoist advised Makhanya to continue developing in Glasgow despite anticipated interest from rival clubs. McCoist also emphasized that McInnes' side must prioritize winning domestic trophies, identifying the Scottish Premiership title as the ultimate target for Rangers this season.
