Tottenham are even more dead-ball reliant than they were under Thomas Frank.

Hotspur HQ's James Cormack highlights that Tottenham Hotspur remain heavily reliant on set pieces despite an upturn in form under manager Roberto De Zerbi. Spurs have recently secured three consecutive victories to reach the top half of the Premier League table. However, Cormack points out that 40 percent of the team's goals this season have originated from dead-ball situations, trailing only Leeds United in the division.
While praising set-piece coach Andreas Georgson, Cormack notes ongoing difficulties in open-play chance creation against low-block defenses. Following a recent victory against ten-man Crystal Palace, where Archie Gray scored from a Mohammed Kudus corner, De Zerbi admitted his squad is not yet fully equipped to navigate packed defensive spaces, especially while missing key players like James Maddison.
