Nets’ Julius Randle Gives Six-Word Answer Ahead of Knicks Showdown

Brooklyn Nets forward Julius Randle dismissed discussions about past matchups ahead of facing his former team, the New York Knicks, at Madison Square Garden. When asked about past encounters, Randle delivered a concise response: "I live in the present, baby." He emphasized that his primary focus remains on helping Brooklyn secure a victory rather than dwelling on his five seasons previously spent playing for the Knicks.

Randle's comments followed the Nets' first victory of the 2026-27 season, a 98-90 win against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday that halted an 0-5 start. Michael Porter Jr. led Brooklyn with 23 points, while Randle contributed 20 points, six assists, and five rebounds to propel the team heading into Monday's matchup in New York.
