The Story in 60 Seconds

Glamorgan opener Asa Tribe has been barred from joining the England Lions tour in the Caribbean following a recent trip to Kenya. The government of St Kitts and Nevis enacted a 21-day entry ban on non-nationals visiting from Kenya due to an outbreak of the Ebola virus. Tribe had represented Jersey in three List A matches in Nairobi last month before attempting to travel to the Caribbean.

Tribe returned to the United Kingdom after learning of the travel restrictions during a layover in Paris. The England and Wales Cricket Board stated it is in contact with relevant authorities, but Tribe remains unlikely to feature in the tour before it concludes on November 16 without a government waiver.
