Through the first half of the 2026 season, Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman's biggest mistake was trading for Jonathan Greenard.

Inside the Iggles writer Anthony Miller argues that Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman made a massive mistake trading for edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. Philadelphia acquired Greenard from the Minnesota Vikings for two third-round draft picks during the 2026 NFL Draft and signed him to a four-year, $98 million contract extension. However, Miller notes Greenard has struggled with injuries and has failed to record a single sack through the team's first eight games.
Greenard has missed time with pectoral and ankle issues, appearing in just five games and tallying only two tackles and five pressures. Despite mounting fan frustration, Miller believes the Eagles cannot easily release Greenard due to heavy dead cap penalties. Miller concludes that the front office must exercise patience through at least the 2027 season and hope the pass rusher turns his performance around.
