The Houston Astros new GM, Randy Flores, will hit the ground running. He'll be tasked with digging through a laundry list of free agents, and deciding what to do with Isaac Paredes.

The Houston Astros face key offseason decisions as Major League Baseball free agency officially opens. Houston must decide whether to exercise a $13.35 million club option on Isaac Paredes or proceed to arbitration, where he is projected to earn roughly $15 million. Meanwhile, Bryan Abreu, Steven Okert, and Daulton Varsho are entering free agency, while Tatsuya Imai opted to stay with the club.
In award news, Astros first baseman Christian Walker won his fourth career Rawlings Gold Glove Award, his first with Houston. Astros outfielder Cam Smith missed out on the right field honor, which was awarded to Boston Red Sox outfielder Wilyer Abreu.
