The New York Knicks have gotten an impressive stretch from Tyler Kolek. Will it matter when Jose Alvarado returns?

The New York Knicks face a rotation dilemma at backup point guard as Jose Alvarado nears a return from a left ankle sprain. Alvarado is listed as questionable to return against the Brooklyn Nets, which could jeopardize Tyler Kolek's recent playing time. Kolek has capitalized on Alvarado's absence by providing remarkably efficient playmaking off the bench.
Over four games, Kolek has recorded 25 assists against just two turnovers in 57 minutes of action. Heavy's Sean Deveney notes that while Kolek stabilizes the offense and limits turnovers, defensive limitations may prompt head coach Mike Brown to ultimately return him to the bench once Alvarado is fully healthy.
