Pompey loanee Josh Knight registered his first league outing for Reading on Saturday.

Reading manager Leam Richardson praised Portsmouth loanee Josh Knight after the defender made his full league debut in a 0-0 draw against Plymouth Argyle. Knight, who joined Portsmouth for £1m before moving to Reading on a temporary deal in August, started in central defense alongside Paudie O'Connor.
Richardson commended Knight, O'Connor, and goalkeeper Joel Pereira for their defensive display in securing the clean sheet. Knight was brought into the starting lineup due to squad fitness issues and to counter the physical attacking threat posed by fifth-placed Plymouth.
