The National Baseball Hall of Fame announced eight candidates on the Contemporary Baseball Era ballot for managers, executives, and umpires. A 16-member panel will review the candidates, who need at least 75 percent of the vote for induction into the Class of 2027. Election results are scheduled to be announced on Sunday, December 6.
The ballot features managerial greats Dusty Baker, Bruce Bochy, Joe Maddon, and Lou Piniella, alongside front-office executives Sandy Alderson and Brian Sabean. Former Atlanta Braves owner Ted Turner and former National League president Bill White complete the eight-person candidate list.
