The NHL officially launched a Hometown Remix jersey for all 32 teams on Monday, and the Buffalo Sabres had one of the best designs with a twist on the Goathead.

Uniform designer Eric Bodamer revealed that the typography on the Buffalo Sabres' new Hometown Remix jerseys was inspired by the boiler plates of original turbines at Niagara Falls. The font connects directly to Buffalo's history as the Electric City and Nikola Tesla's alternating current system, offering a subtle tribute to the region's industrial heritage.
The Sabres' new uniform blends the popular Goathead logo concept with the franchise's traditional royal blue, gold, and white color scheme. The team is scheduled to wear the Hometown Remix sweaters eight times during the 2026-27 season, starting with a matchup against the Ottawa Senators.
