Better than Haaland: Arsenal now have the best player in the Premier League

Football FanCast writer Matt Dawson argues that Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has overtaken Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as the best player in the Premier League. The author points to Rice's complete performances, leadership, and influence on the reigning league champions as evidence that he offers more to his team than Haaland's pure goalscoring output.

Dawson highlights that Rice leads the Premier League with five assists this season, all coming from open play, including setting up Kai Havertz's winning goal against Liverpool. The piece also cites praise from pundit Jamie Carragher, who described the 27-year-old midfielder as the best and most impactful midfield player in the country.
