Ipswich Town goalkeeper Kayne van Oevelen faces growing uncertainty over his season-long loan spell at Valencia following a right knee injury suffered in training. The 23-year-old Dutch goalkeeper has not made a competitive appearance for the Spanish side and is now expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks, fueling speculation that his temporary deal could be cut short.
Ipswich reportedly hold a January recall clause if van Oevelen fails to feature in at least half of Valencia's matches between November and Christmas. Having initially joined Ipswich from Volendam in a reported £3.4 million transfer in July, the goalkeeper could be recalled and loaned out elsewhere if he fails to break into the team.
