The Viva El Birdos Podcast: Episode 89 – Interview with Bernie Miklasz

In Episode 89 of The Viva El Birdos Podcast, host Jake Wood interviews sports writer Bernie Miklasz to discuss the St. Louis Cardinals' future following front office executive Randy Flores' departure to become General Manager of the Houston Astros. Miklasz praised Flores' transition to an executive role while noting it remains early to determine the full impact of his exit on the Cardinals.

Miklasz highlighted Zach Mortimer's oversight of scouting and drafting, suggesting the Cardinals' organization remains in capable hands. The podcast also explored potential coaching staff changes, with Miklasz acknowledging possible moves for Daniel Descalso or Jon Jay, while cautioning that hiring Yadier Molina as a bench coach could complicate team dynamics under manager Oli Marmol.
