William Stromgren is set to make his season debut for the Calgary Flames against the San Jose Sharks following his recall from the AHL's Calgary Wranglers. The 23-year-old forward previously appeared in three NHL games last season and is expected to skate alongside Jonathan Costagna and Adam Klapka.
Stromgren earned his recall after posting three goals and eight assists across 11 AHL games this season, placing him tied for fourth in league scoring. Flames head coach Ryan Huska stated he wants the young forward to move his feet and play directly in his return.
