The Red Wings Hometown Remix jersey is a red jersey with HOCKEYTOWN on the chest. Detroit has a whole city of culture, and this is what it got.

Writer Greg Montique criticizes the Detroit Red Wings' newly unveiled Hometown Remix jersey, labeling the design an uninspired disappointment. As part of an NHL and Fanatics program intended to celebrate local culture, Detroit's version features a standard red base with 'HOCKEYTOWN' arched over the traditional Winged Wheel logo on the chest.
Montique argues that the team missed opportunities to honor Detroit's rich culture, including Motown, techno, or the auto industry. He ranks the design as the second-worst jersey in franchise history, behind only the original Reverse Retro release.
