The Colts' 42-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday dropped them to 2-6 on the season.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen announced that Daniel Jones will remain the team's starting quarterback following a 42-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite pulling Jones in the fourth quarter in favor of Anthony Richardson Sr., Steichen stated after reviewing game tape that Jones still gives the Colts the best chance to win. The defeat dropped Indianapolis to a 2-6 record on the season.
Steichen noted that execution and coaching, rather than player effort, were the primary issues in the blowout loss. The game also provided significant playing time for young players, including rookie linebacker CJ Allen, who recorded 10 tackles and a sack in his first NFL start, alongside strong defensive contributions from Caden Curry.
