Dodge is returning to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027, giving the Cup Series four manufacturers once again.

Dodge announced at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas that it will return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027, arriving a year earlier than expected. The Stellantis-owned brand will join Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota as the series' fourth manufacturer. Kaulig Racing will field a two-car Dodge Charger team starting at the Daytona 500, with AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon expected to drive.
Dodge previously departed the Cup Series after winning the 2012 championship with Brad Keselowski and Penske Racing. To expedite its 2027 timeline, Dodge partnered with Earnhardt Childress Racing to build Dodge-spec powerplants alongside regular Chevrolet operations, an arrangement supported by rival manufacturers.
