The Detroit Lions are signing linebacker K.J. Britt to their active roster, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Britt, 27, joins Detroit from the New England Patriots' practice squad after previously appearing in one game and recording one tackle for New England during the 2026 season.
Britt entered the NFL as a fifth-round selection by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021 out of Auburn, where he played out his four-year rookie deal. He subsequently played all 17 games for the Miami Dolphins in 2025, recording 35 total tackles, before signing with the Patriots.
