The St. Louis Blues have assigned defenseman Logan Mailloux to the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds on a conditioning stint, the team announced. The 23-year-old defenseman has been sidelined since late September after undergoing surgery for an injury sustained during a preseason fight against Chicago Blackhawks forward Cole Smith.
St. Louis originally acquired Mailloux from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for forward Zachary Bolduc. During his first season with the Blues, Mailloux recorded five goals and 13 points in 67 games while averaging 16:46 of ice time per game.
