The Buffalo Sabres are not on Dylan Larkin's trade list but that didn't stop them from reportedly making a big offer, according to one NHL insider.

The Buffalo Sabres reportedly made a substantial trade offer to the Detroit Red Wings for center Dylan Larkin, according to NHL insider Chris Johnston. However, a potential deal could not proceed because the Sabres are not currently on Larkin's approved trade list and he declined to waive his no-trade clause.
