Rudy Gobert identified a habit behind LaMelo Ball’s foul trouble and explained what the Timberwolves guard can change without losing his aggression.

Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert highlighted an unnecessary fouling habit by LaMelo Ball that leads to frequent whistles and bench time. Gobert explained that Ball often defends well initially but commits extra grabs, pushes, or reaches late in possessions instead of accepting contested shots. Gobert believes mental focus can eliminate half of Ball's fouls.
Ball fouled out in just 20 minutes during Minnesota's 121-111 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Head coach Chris Finch praised Ball's defensive effort but urged better judgment, while Ball acknowledged that he must play smarter to remain available for the team.
