Dodge has confirmed it will return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027 with Kaulig Racing and will officially unveil its new Cup car on December 4. The reveal is scheduled during the Snowball Derby weekend at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. This announcement marks NASCAR's return to four manufacturers for the first time since Dodge departed following the 2012 season, with Kaulig switching operations from Chevrolet to Dodge.
While NASCAR completed wind tunnel testing on the new body, the car has yet to undergo on-track testing before the 2027 Daytona 500. Kaulig Racing plans to announce its full driver lineup at Homestead-Miami Speedway, where current drivers AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon are expected to remain. ECR Engines is reportedly slated to provide white-label engines initially while Kaulig explores building its own engine department.
