The Minnesota Vikings are still in the mix for Colts star Jonathan Taylor, and Adam Schefter already has a name to watch for whoever comes up short.

The Minnesota Vikings are among several NFL teams actively pursuing a trade for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor ahead of the trade deadline. According to reports from ESPN's Adam Schefter and insider Jordan Schultz, Indianapolis is engaging in trade talks after dropping to 2-6 on the season. Schultz reported that five to six teams have shown aggressive interest in acquiring the three-time Pro Bowler.
Completing a trade would likely require at least a second-round draft pick plus additional compensation, according to Schultz. Minnesota faces financial constraints, holding roughly $5.84 million in cap space against Taylor's $16.19 million cap hit, meaning general manager Nolan Teasley would need to send salary back to make a deal work.
