The Minnesota Twins have tendered a qualifying offer worth $23.15 million to free-agent catcher Ryan Jeffers. Under the rules of the offer, Jeffers has until November 17 to decide whether to accept the one-year deal for the 2027 season or pursue free agency. Should he choose to sign with another team, Minnesota will receive a compensatory pick in the 2027 MLB Draft.
Jeffers has expressed interest in exploring his market value while maintaining that returning to Minnesota remains an attractive option. Considered the top free-agent catcher available, he is expected to draw strong interest. Meanwhile, the Twins face roster decisions that include finding bullpen support and a power bat, while factoring in the timeline of top catching prospect Vahn Lackey.
